  - My mom Judy is a retired English teacher from Derby Middle School in Birmingham.

  - My dad John is a retired principal from Troy and Andover high schools.
  - My sister Julie is an English teacher who resigned from Okemos High to raise her family.
  - My niece Olivia is a junior at Brighton High School and is on the swim team.
  - My nephews Ben and Ethan also attend Brighton Schools and play many sports.
  - My brother-in-law Paul is a school psychologist in the Bloomfield Hills district.
  - My late brother Doug was a lawyer, professor and author at University of Georgia.
  - My sister-in-law Linda is the director of experiential learning at University of Georgia and mom to my nephew Jack.
  - I also have plenty of close friends that I consider family.

What kind of hobbies do you have? What do you like to do?
I enjoy bicycling, hiking, reading, travel, I Tunes and concerts, entertaining, Netflix and On Demand, fantasy football, Pilates, tennis and basketball.

What's your favorite thing about being a part of the Lamphere district?
The positive relationships with my students, colleagues and Central Administration. It has been said many times and in many ways, but our district is great because of its amazing, hard working, and caring people.
