President - Allison Minowa

Allison MinowaAllison Minowa is serving as President of the Board and was elected in November 2014.  Allison holds a B.A. Degree in Health Science with a focus in Exercise Science from Oakland University.  She is a Performance
Manager at EXOS in a corporate fitness center downtown.

Allison is a 1996 graduate of LHS. Her oldest just graduated from Lamphere and she currently has two children enrolled in the Lamphere District.   She volunteers as often as she can and takes photos of the sporting events at Lamphere High School and John Page Middle School and uploads them to the Facebook pages for families to have. 

This year, Allison will serve on the Board's Superintendent's Evaluation, Finance and Policy Committees. In addition, she will serve as the Board's alternative representative on the Curriculum Committees and the Michigan Association of School Boards Committees.

Vice President - Robert T. Borngesser

Rob 2018 2Rob Borngesser was appointed on November 7, 2017, was re-elected on November 6, 2018 and is serving as Board Vice President.  He had served as a Board of Education member for 18 years before his retirement at the end of his fourth term in December 2016. Rob has been a resident of Madison Heights for 55 years and owns his own company, Youngs Window Cleaning.  His wife, Louise, is an RN Nurse Mentor.

He and his wife, as well as their three daughters, are all Lamphere graduates!  All three children also graduated from Wayne State and his grandson currently attends Lessenger Elementary.

Rob will serve on the Board's Superintendent's Evaluation, Finance and Parks & Recreation Committees and as an alternate on the Michigan Association of School Boards Committee.

Secretary - Ryan McCann

Ryan 2022Ryan McCann is serving as the Secretary of the Board and was elected in November 2016.  He has worked in various capacities in the software development field for 20 years and currently works for Quicken Loans.

Ryan and his wife, Rebekka, have lived in Madison Heights for 18 years and they have two children - their daughter attends Lessenger Elementary School and their son attends Page Middle School.  He is one of the co-founders of, and very active in, the Madison Heights Men's Club.

This year, Ryan will serve as a representative on the Curriculum Board Committee and as an alternate on the City/School Liaison, Hall of Fame, Parks & Rec and Policy Review Committees.

Treasurer - William Mier

Bill 2022Bill Mier is serving as Treasurer of the Board, was appointed on October 8, 2013 to fill the vacant position created by the resignation of Mr. Lyon, and was elected to a six-year term in 2014.   

Bill has been the Business Applications Manager at Roush Industries for the past 20 years, a resident of the Lamphere community for 29 years and has had six children attend The Lamphere Schools.   

Bill has been an active member of the community for the past 26 years serving as a chairperson on the Citizens’ Committee for the renewal of Lamphere’s millages in 2011 and has been active in the Athletic Booster Club at the high school for 21 years, serving as an officer for all but 2 of those years.  For the past 25 years, he has served as a board member for the Madison Heights Little League. 

This year, Bill will serve on the Board's Building, City/School Liaison, Curriculum, Finance and Hall of Fame, Youth Assistance and as the MASB Technology Coordinator.  He will also serve as a Delegate to the Michigan Association of School Boards and as an Alternate on the Board's MASB Legislative Relations Network and Oakland County School Boards Association Committee.

Trustee - Anthony P. Austin

Tony 2022Anthony Austin was elected to serve on the board in November 2016 and is serving as Board Trustee.  Anthony holds a B.S. degree in Information Systems from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He is a former U.S. Army Company Commander holding the rank of Captain. He is a graduate of the Army Communications Officer Basic and Advanced courses as well as the Combined Arm Services and Staff School. He holds a certification diploma in Digital Media from Specs Howard School of Media Arts and is the President of 1 Vision Media Group.

His wife, Colleen, and family have lived in Madison Heights for over 22 years. Colleen holds a Masters degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and a BS degree in Communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Their two children are both Lamphere graduates. Son, Jared holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and a BS degree in Broadcasting from Grand Valley State University. Daughter, Chelsea received her BA from Michigan State University and went on to Michigan State Law School.  She now works as a Corporate Attorney with Miller Johnson.

This year, Anthony will serve as a representative on the Board Superintendent Evaluation, MASB Legislative Relations, OCSBA Legislative Relations, and Policy Committees.  He will also serve as the board's designate to Oakland Schools and will serve as an alternate to the Building, Finance, and Youth Assistance Committees.   Anthony is also a Board Member for the Madison Heights Community Coalition.

Trustee - Paul Cavanaugh

Paul 2 2022Paul Cavanaugh was elected to serve on the Board in May 2008 and is serving as Board Trustee. He has been a resident of Madison Heights for 36 years and retired from Verizon Wireless as a Design and Construction Manager.  Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, he taught 5th and 6th grades in Minnesota and Adult Education and Alternative High School in Madison Heights. Paul also worked with the State Ward Diversion Program working with adjudicated youth in Wayne County.   

Paul and his wife, Julie, have five children - all are Lamphere grads - and seven grandchildren. Julie retired from Lamphere after serving for 28 years as a Paraprofessional. 

Paul will serve on the Building and Curriculum Committees.  He will also serve as an alternate on the Finance and City/School Liaison Committees.

Trustee - Dedra LeSage

Dedra LeSageDedra LeSage is serving as a Trustee of the Board and was appointed to the Board on December 13, 2022 to fill the vacancy created by Mrs. Junkin's resignation.  She holds a BS degree in Communication from Ohio University and is currently an accounting administrator at Woodberry Wine in Troy.

Dedra and her husband, Michael, have lived in Madison Heights for 15 years.  Their daughter, Meredith, is a student at Page Middle School.  She is an active member of the Madison Heights Women's Club.

This year, Dedra will serve on the Board's Building and City/School Liaison Committees and as an alternate on the Policy Review Committee.
